Destiny: Rise of Iron Officially Announced

Destiny Developer Bungie announced yesterday the release date and price of their new expansion called Rise of Iron on their Twitch Channel yesterday after multiple websites leaking information before E3 next week.

The initial source of the leak was from The Wall Street Journal's Snapchat story as well as Xbox Store posted it with details of a new story, raid, weapons, armor, and crucible missions. It will also include a new area called the plaguelands which features a new faction of enemies.

The official description says:

"Guardians must rise to the challenge to take their place as the next generation of Iron Lords. Along the way they will join forces with a legend from humanity's Golden Age to defeat a plague of unstoppable evil once and for all."

Rise of Iron will only be available for current gen consoles and you must have the previous expansions to play it. The expansion is due to launch on September 20, 2016 on the Playstation Network and Xbox Store and will be priced at thirty dollars. Playstation users will also receive exclusive items similar to past expansions. Rise of Iron will most likely be the last expansion before Destiny 2 comes out next year.
