E3 Conference Sony
Sony delivered the perfect press conference this year without giving many demos or release dates.
The lights dim, an orchestra begins to play a God of War theme. A trailer starts on screen, we see a boy playing with a pair of toys out in a snowy wilderness. A deep manly voice calls for him, they boy gets up and enters the cabin only to reveal that the boy's father who called for him is none other then Kratos of the God of War franchise. The audience cheers for the return of perhaps one of the greatest video game trilogies God of War. To follow the gameplay of God Of War they brought The Last Guardian.
The Last Guardian is probably the only Sony game ever developed that has had nine years of delays. They shared some beautiful new game footage and gave it a release date. Yes, The Last Guardian is finally coming out, October 25, 2016.
The Sony conference was jam packed with games including: Resident Evil 7, Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Detroit Become Human, and Spider-Man. Yes, it says Spider-Man your favorite web-slinging teen is going to have his own game being developed by Insomniac Games. Sony also showed off alot of Playstation VR games in production including a Batman: Arkham VR game with Mark Hamill doing a Joker voice over in the trailer.
Finally one small announcement about a Playstation game called Crash Bandicoot. The first 3 Crash Bandicoot games Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped will be completely remastered. And Crash will get his own Skylanders figure in Skylanders: Imaginators.
